iOS app summary chart and updates

The Bird Journal iOS app now shows a summary chart on the summary screen, letting you see progress at a glance!

The presentation is mobile app specific - bars underneath the existing values seemed to fit quite neatly. We expect to roll this change out to Android as well soon. Depending on how you use Bird Journal, the values shown will be more or less helpful. In time we'd like to customise options here.

Also in the same update are many significant but less visible refreshes to the technology used to keep things working smoothly. For example, the menu popup is now using native iOS features, so looks more like other iOS apps here.

We hope you enjoy the update and look forward to delivering more updates soon.

Thanks for the new updates and Happy New Year.
Can you confirm if we now have ability to adjust time and position if we forgot to add a species during the day whilst in the field? It’s not easy when you have to remember to do it on the main site when you get back home . Can’t remember how many times this occurs in the field that would be a certain god send for many of us, having spoken with other Bird Journal users.

You're welcome Nigel, Happy New Year! That's something we'd love to add when we have time, we have a ticket tracking that, sorry it's not available yet.

Still use this as my main app for recording bird sightings since I bought the program on a CD Rom from you at  West Midlands Birdfair in about 2010. It’s a great app.
