Android app refresh

The Bird Journal Android app was originally released after the iOS app. Whilst offering the same core experience, it has often been a few steps behind in terms of user experience. With Bird Journal for Android 5.2.209 this is certainly no longer the case.

Here are the highlights. Please let us know your feedback!

Refreshed user interface, following Google's Material 3 design system

More consistent with other Bird Journal apps

New features, such as auto-complete, for location and species selection

Updated technology behind the scenes

Bird Journal now runs much faster on Android.

Themed app icons are now supported

The update is available in the Google Play Store and will be installed automatically on eligible devices running Android 10 or above.

Hi Juan, Release notes are available for the app in Google Play. The app should update automatically from Google Play unless you're using an older version of Android. Version 10 of Android is now the minimum supported version. Please let me know if I misunderstood your question! Justin
